My wife and I had been planning a remodel for years. We wanted an open, modern concept for our first floor. After consulting numerous companies, C&E offered us the best value and the high quality we were searching for. We decided to give C&E a call based on a recommendation from a local appliance specialist.

We scheduled an in-home consultation with Cris (the owner of C&E) to discuss our design ideas. We told him that we’d already consulted several remodeling companies and had a rough idea of what we wanted. Initially, my wife and I were only interested in remodeling the first floor. Our kitchen was separated from our living room by a wall, which made it dark in the afternoon and evening. Additionally, our appliances and lighting were starting to fail.

On a whim, we also discussed the possibility of having our upstairs bathrooms remodeled as well. Cris listened attentively and provided photos of his previous and current projects. We found him easy to talk to, and he seemed to really understand our needs. He was down-to-earth and approachable.

After the consultation, we talked numbers. We found that C&E was very reasonably priced. My wife and I decided to go ahead with a full house remodel instead of just the first floor. It was a big commitment, but Cris gave us a timeline similar to those provided by other companies. This was in March 2020.

Once we signed the contract, Cris immediately applied for permits, which was a game-changer in terms of efficiency. Then, COVID-19 hit, and the city shut down. Fortunately, our permit had already been filed and was slowly moving through the permitting process. So, when the construction industry was given the green light to proceed, Cris and C&E were able to hit the ground running.

A2Z Remodeling was hired as a subcontractor to remodel our house. They have a skillful team led by Cris, who is very knowledgeable about plumbing and electrical wiring. He is handy and meticulous in all kinds of jobs. If he promises to do the job, he will deliver. Even on the last day of the project, he stopped by our house to install our window blinds. Thank you, Cris! Throughout the three-monthlong construction, I learned a lot about house structure from him and his team.

I was especially impressed by the tile work. Valentine and his son did an amazing job on the bathroom tiles, and another skilled team member tiled our kitchen walls and floors quickly and neatly. The painting team, consisting of two to three professionals, was also excellent. They finished the entire exterior painting in a single day. The interior painting was smooth, detailed, and very neat. I also loved their molding work. For example, the pantry door arrived without a frame, and they custom-built one with beautiful moldings.

I am so pleased with the work done in my home by the A2Z Builder and Design team (in San Francisco). From helping me select materials to the final touches of cleanup at the end of the job, they were attentive and thorough.

I have three bathrooms in my home and decided to have them renovate my main bathroom. They completed the job faster than I could have ever imagined! The tile work was so well done, it looks like something straight out of a magazine.
